Frittata is an egg-based Italian dish with additional ingredients such as meats, bacon, cheeses, or vegetables. Frittata is an Italian word meaning "fried." Quite similar to an omelet or crustless quiche or scrambled eggs, I thought it also resembles some part of a pizza (but a healthier version hehe).
I found that a spinach frittata is diet food, where a lot of people who prefer healthy foods love to eat as a main dish for the day. Therefore, I decided to make one for me!
Also, since it is so easy to cook and does not require a lot of ingredients, it is a good dish when you have some leftover ingredients to be finished in a fridge. People call this as an ultimate clean-out-the-fridge weekend brunch recipe.
I did not have a chance to film/take photos of the cooking process, so I will just write down the ingredients needed and how to make it!
Ingredients needed
- 3 eggs, whisked just until the egg yolks and whites are blended
- 1/2 Opnion
- 1/2 Spring Onion
- 3,4 pieces of minced garlic
- tomatoes
- spinach
- salt
- olive oil
- mushroom
- extra ingredients : bacon, pork, etc.
Instructions
1. Warm the olive oil in a pan
2. Put Spring Onion, mined garlic and chopped onion to the pan and stir-fry them.
3. Add any softer vegetables such as mushroom, tomatoes and spinach until they are tender
4. Season with salt, to taste.
5. Pour the whisked eggs over the vegetables and stir with a spatula briefly to combine and distribute the mixture evenly across the pan.
6. Put a lid on it and heat the pan in medium-low for three minutes.
Now enjoy your Frittata!
This Spinach Frittata is full of protein, and has no processed carbs which is good to our health! If you are going on a diet, this would be a great choice!

I finished all of my spinach frittata all at once!
